Includes the expenses, over and above the purchase price of the property normally incurred to complete a real estate transaction. Examples of closing costs are underwriting fees, due diligence expenses, pursuit costs, attorney fees, loan origination and application fees, escrow fees etc. They can also include prepaid property taxes, insurance and mortgage costs.
